Home Transformed with Nature Crafted Roof
Ugly. Worn-out. Dismal. Those are the “kind” descriptions of an Illinois home whose real cedar shakes were way past their prime.
Now, with the replacement of composite shakes on the roof, there’s a whole new set of words to describe this home: refreshed, transformed and breathtaking. Those are just a few of the words.
“The old cedar shakes on this beautiful home were very brittle,” says Patric Strisovsky, owner of All Roofs, Inc. in Franklin Park, Ill. “Those shakes were so badly deteriorated that they brought down the entire look of the structure.
“By installing the new DaVinci Multi-Width Shake composite tiles we were able to bring new life to this home.”
Making Magic
Strisovsky and his team have been installing DaVinci composite shake and slate roofing for more than a decade. Each year they take on almost a dozen special custom roof projects. This home, in Bartlett, Ill. is the perfect example of how the All Roofs team can make magic happen.
“We started out by inspecting for hail damage,” says Strisovsky. “We got the homeowner approved through their insurance company for a new roof. The old cedar shake roof was just too worn out and damaged by hail to last another year.”

After assuring the homeowners of insurance support, Strisovsky then introduced them to DaVinci Roofscapes composite shake shingles and the Aged Cedar color.

Icing on the Cake
The three-month long re-roofing project was a special project for the All Roofs team. There was a great deal of detail work done on steep slopes. Then the copper flashings were created and installed on site.
“This is one of the truest transformation projects we’ve completed,” says Strisovsky. “The old roof put a damper on the house structure and made it look depressing. The new DaVinci roof accents the stone on the home exterior and looks more like icing on a cake!
