Return Those DaVinci Scraps!

While June is officially National Recycling Month, at DaVinci Roofscapes we focus on recycling every month of the year.

That's because we offer a unique program that encourages roofers and contractors to return our environmentally friendly roof scraps and cuttings from a project to our plant for recycling. They can also return used tiles after the life expectancy (50 years) of the sustainable roof. The tiles will be recycled keeping waste out of the landfill.

"At DaVinci we manufacture tiles with engineered polymer, organic fire retardants and inorganic pigments that are safe for the environment," says Tim Gentry, vice president of technical services at DaVinci Roofscapes. "Any of our manufactured slate or composite shake materials that fail to meet finished specs are re-purposed as starter tiles. And, all DaVinci imitation slate roof tiles and polymer shake roofing tiles are 100% recyclable."

DaVinci synthetic roofing materials must be returned to our manufacturing plant in Lenexa, Kansas to be recycled. Contractors can contact us at 800-328-4624 or CLICK HERE for details on how to return tile scraps, waste from the jobsite and removed tiles.

Here's a unique aspect of our recycling program: if a job site is within 500 miles of our plant, DaVinci will send prepaid FedEx Ground labels for the shipment back to us of up to four boxes of scrap materials. That means the recycling effort is good for the environment … and your wallet!
