From the Architect’s Corner – Mixing Two Products
There are many amazing features of our DaVinic Slate, which boast top performance ratings for fire, wind, and impact. In the situation pictured, the solution was to use our Multi-Width or Single-Width slate alternative on the parts of the roof where you need a bit more flexibility in design such as eyebrow windows, turrets or bay windows. These two products are not self-aligning systems so there is more wiggle room in pliability and cutting tiles to fit into a specific area. See photo examples below:
