School House Roofs
When it came time to specify sustainable roofing for the 100-year-old Mohawk Avenue School in Sparta, New Jersey, Gianforcaro Architects, Engineers and Planners out of Chester, New Jersey selected DaVinci synthetic roofing.
"This was our first experience specifying DaVinci simulate slate roofing products and it worked out so well we proceeded to include the fake slate roofing tiles in several other school projects we were designing," says Anthony Gianforcaro, AIA. PE.
"We’re extremely pleased with the lightweight yet durable nature of the synthetic slate and how it so closely resembles real slate," says Gianforcaro.
For this massive school roof project, 198 squares of DaVinci Slate in European blend colors were installed on the project. The environmentally-friendly roof will stand over the school for several generations of students.
